Meet the Founder Martina HansenFounder — Cove & Compass Co. Cove & Compass was built on a foundation that started long before real estate. Growing up in Minnesota, time at the lake wasn't just a summer activity — it was where life happened every day and every season. Where memories were made, where friends and family gathered, and where simple moments became lasting ones. Before building Cove & Compass, Martina spent her career as a senior executive in higher education, leading large-scale operations focused on customer experience, digital strategy, and retention — producing record-setting performance across the nation's largest institutions. When she entered the short-term rental space, she saw a clear opportunity: most properties were competing on price or location. Very few were competing on value and experience. So she applied the same principles — and built one of the top-performing short-term rentals at Lake Anna.
